The Running of the Bulls occurs once a year in the fictional village of Pablono, Spain somewhere on the Iberian peninsula. The installation will be a grandiose collaborative project requiring myself,a set designer and a structural engineer. The project will be in a public space. The Bull’s Head and Horns will chase the  runners thru the streets of Pablono.

The installation honors Pablo Picasso, Ernest “Papa” Hemingway and the fearless runners. In 1943 Pablo Picasso created a bronze sculpture entitled Bull’s Head out of a discarded leather bicycle saddle and rusted handlebars.

The Bull’s Head and Horns are assemblages of bicycle parts that have been salvaged from old bicycle repairs and from Springfield’s area bicycle shops and fellow bicycle fanatics.
