Wanted used machine head tuners for Gretsch New Yorker

This Gretsch New Yorker is nearly finished. I still need tuners for one side of the headstock. The top was split down the center and has been reglued, the neck reset, The fretboard has been refretted and pieces of the original binding have glued back on. Soon I will put strings on this old and forgotten guitar known as "Tex". Hopefully Tex will be able to strum one more song .

A new project, 1946-1948 Gretsch New Yorker

A new project, 1946-1948 Gretsch New Yorker

A new project, Tex a 1946-1948 Gretsch New Yorker. The guitar had come unglued and separated 1/4 inch, neck needs to be reset, frets felt like a badly rutted road, nut deformed, tuning buttons had to be replaced. Honestly this guitar probably shouldn’t have been repaired but I have done most of the work myself and I will have help in in shimming and resetting the neck. Tex will be playable but I don’t imagine this guitar will be one you’d cherish. Tex will be brought back to life. More pictures to follow.

Tex_has been re-fretted.

Tex has been re-fretted. Take a look at the top two frets and imagine how the numbers of songs that been played. I tuning buttons fell off and new buttons were melted on. I imagine one of the previous owners stripped the neck and sides to improve the guitars tone.

Who was Tex?

If anyone knew Tex, please let me know.

A pair of matching Marveltone dreadnought guitars with sequential serial numbers

Marveltone dreadnoughts S-60-WN

Marveltone dreadnoughts S-60-WN made in the USA. The guitar on the left serial # is 4593H1257 and the guitar on the right serial # is 4594H1257. Does any on know who manufactured these instruments and when they were made? They were probably made in Chicago by Regal or Harmony guitar, I don't have a clue.
